Blog to Get Ill

So I am crazy ill maintenant. I got a sore throat and then I've been getting sicker and sicker. It's no fun. I think my body crashed because finals are over. I've been drinking whiskey for my throat. Yeah, for my throat. Like how I drink gin for my gout. Ok, I don't have gout, but I think gin is a good way to prevent it. Maybe I drink gin for by goat. I forget.

Well, this morning I stopped at the Aid of Rite to buy some medicine and orange juice and water. I went to the nasal decongenstant aisle and couldn't find anything. Then I saw at the top of the shelves were little cards that said to take a card and take it to the pharmacy. So, I took the little card for Sudafed pellets to the pharmacy but it wasn't open yet. Luckily I asked the woman at the cash register if she had any. She had some behind the counter, and it was what I wanted, so I bought it. She carded me for it though, which was strange. I don't look 12. I was kind of mad because pharamcies are not 24 hours a day, and isn't that the point of "over-the-counter" medicine; you don't have to go to the pharmacy for it? I'm sure the reason is to stop kids from making meth with it or something. But I thought you could make it only from liquid Sudafed and Robitussin and stuff, and not everykind. I thought it had to have the right ingredients. I didn't think you could make it from pills. Maybe you can. I just think that if they want it to be "behind the counter" they should put it behind the cashier with the cigarettes and liquor that s/he can get to, not lock it in the pharmacy, so you can actually get NyQuil at 12am when you can't sleep.

My car will be repaired on Monday. Or the process will begin. Right now I'm driving my dad's car, since he can't drive anyway.

Today at Sylvania, the Colleage went to talk to this guy, but he was arrested in court already for warrants out of Toledo. Ha! And then we got another case dismissed because the guy died. Very sad. It was probably drug related but I don't know. He was 26.

One woman today said that she was not too drunk to stand, she fell because she has animals living on her porch and she stepped on a squirrel. Fwhat? I have never seen squirrels get "underfoot" literally or figuratively. The prosecutor thought that the woman was drunk this morning.

Not much else is new. I'm working on an appeal at "the Firm" for which the brief is due on the 22 so I'm working on it "blazing saddles" as one of the partners said. I have to clean the pigsty which I call my apartment. I have to start applying for jobs. I have to revise my resume. So much to do. So little time, when you are ill.

What's the time? It is NOT time to get Ill.
