I Won Two Hundred Dollars

On Friday, I went up to Pan's Labyrinth with Jennifer, Jim, Mike (my date), and McShyu. The movie was good, but I didn't like it. I thought it was too violent. I'll admit that it really wasn't that violent, but I thought it was gross and it distracted from the movie. Of course, it took place during a very violent, fascist period in Spain, so I don't blame them for chosing violence. An online friend told me he became "numb" to the violence. In a way it was very detached, but it was still too much for me. Moral: Franco Sucks, but Franco-American is tasty.

After the movie, we played Guitar Hero and played drinking war and drinking hi-lo. It was fun. I made shots. One was fruitty and the other was too buttershotty. Then I slept at Mike's house. Oh, and Guitar Hero while tipsy is hard. Guitar Hero while sober is still pretty hard.

Saturday, I woke up to someone pounding on Mike's front door. Someone wanted to do something with a tree. I couldn't fall back asleep so I watched the end of Season 2 of the Office. It was excellent. Then we went to iHop and never ending pancakes are back! But I only at three which was plenty. Then guitar hero, talking, more guitar hero, hanging out, little Shyu, slow sushi. Then Beckie, Jessica, Jackie and I went to Monkey Bar. It was $10 for guys, $8 for girls with mandatory $2 coat check. Crock. So we went to SoHo, and Beckie saw her former co-worker, the Fifth Element. Jessica had beer and the rest had cosmos. Then we went to the Bosco, which I love. They were playing a weird Bollywood movie and Jessica and I were making up dialogue. There was something about pooping which was funny. No pooping in the movie but we talked about pooping. Anyway, Jessica and Jackie left, then Jim and Dave and Austin showed up after the Sloan concert. Then we went to National Coney Island. Then I drove Jim and Dave back to St. Claire Shores because of complications. Then I drove home. I think I got home after 4am.

Sunday, I worked on homework and watched the Transporter. Then Nicole, my boss, and I decided to go to Greektown. She showed me the wonder of Crapless Craps. Which sounds funny, looks confusing, but is really fun. We met Frank who is quite the gambler. He got a trip to Atlantis, including airfare, comped by the casino. Frank gave us a lot of strategy on how to play. So I started with $10 on the pass line, and doubled it, then I started playing "points". From the $10, I walked away with $200. It was awesome. We stood at the craps table for about 3 hours playing. Then we went to the Astoria Bakery and then went home.

I think I'm going to buy Tivo with my $200. I think it's Jesus way of telling me to get a Tivo. Jesus is crafty.

Yeah, I kind of wondered how the whole Jim/Dave thing would work out. I'm glad Jesus is such a fan of DVRs.

$200!! That would have been awesome! I should have played blackjack when I went. I've never played craps.
