I'm so over the pink ribbon. I think that breast cancer awareness is very important, and everyone should get mammograms, and it's a highly curable disease so I understand it. I don't understand what it is THE charity/cause for the US. There are many other causes. Why is the pink ribbon on everything? It's on yogurt and cereal and vagisil and Lifetime and everything.
So last week, I talked at a high school to junior and senior boys about Testicular Self Exams and surviving cancer. I am going to do another talk on November 8. It's kind of funny to talk to high schoolers about your balls. I've come a long way. They showed this video that was graphic. They showed everything. Though it's quite important, it was kind of weird to watch this odd soft core looking video from 1989 on big screens in a high school.
I was thinking today about ages of couples. Specifically, how old/young of a person would I date? I'm still unsure. 10 years different seems like a lot, but not at the same time. I have friends that are (Interlude: my professor just said 'no reach arounds today') quite a bit older than me. I know several people that have relationships with 7 or 8 year difference. I think that's kind of weird. But 5 years is not. So why does two more years matter? It doesn't. What about 10 years? I know a lot of married couples who are 10 years different. But it seems different now. I don't know why. I also think it's alot easier to go older than younger. I would rather date a 38 year old than an 18 year old. How old is too old? How young is too young? Is it based just on social norms or is it based on more practical reasons?
I've decided to cut back on work. I'm going to work a day less at the firm and only one day at the PD's office. I think this will help with my sanity. I'm just too stressed out. I also think that I'm going to stay in Toledo for the next few weekends.
In other news, I bought the new Killers CD. It was like $9.99 at Best Buy. It's pretty good. I really like "When You Were Young" but it took a while for it to grow on me. One song I like immediately is "Bones". I also like "For Reasons Unknown" and "Why Do I Keep Counting". I'm a little annoyed there are only 10 songs. There are 12 tracks but there is an "enterlude" and an "exitlude". Did the Killers steal this idea from Basement Jaxx? Basement Jaxx albums have such tracks like "Kissalude", "Freakalude", "Benjilude", "Petrilude", "Jaxxalude" and "Sneakalude".
Oh, and today I ran 1/2 a mile! Ok, it was more jogging than running, but I maintained the same gait for 1/2 mile. I think that's a very good thing. I didn't even feel like dying at the end!
This week I've tried something different. I've tried this thing I like to call "Reading and Paying Attention in Class" TM and you know, I understand things alot more. I just need to learn what I've missed over the last month. Ok, I didn't miss that much, but I missed a bit. Especially in Bankruptcy. I'm not able to follow along very easily for some reason. I'm doing better though. Natural Resource Law or "The Law of Rocks" as Amanda calls it is horrible. I just don't care about the environment. I thought I did. I care about clean air and water, but not enough to do stuff. I think this is most Americans. Most think it's important but not really enought to get angry or passionate about it.
This weekend I'm going to work on writing a paper for Commercial Paper and I have to learn how to create a corporation in Ohio and then form it. Well, not really form it, but do everything I need and file it with the professor and not the secretary of state. Business Associations (BA) is very useful. I now under stand what a Partnership, LP, LLP, LLLP, LLC, C Corporation and S Corporation is and why it matters. Who would have thought?
The Project Runway Reunion last night was hilarious. I laughed so hard. I loved it. Keith is a creepy bitch. I don't like him. Oh, and the previews for the finale make it look like Laura reported Jeffrey for cheating. I don't really like Jeffrey's designs, but the boy can sew. Did Laura not see that he made a handsewn couture dress in a day? I didn't like the fabric or color, but it looked like it was sewn really well. And it was handsewn. HANDSEWN. I honestly believe that Jeffrey could finish a collection in two weeks if he really tried hard. After three months I'm not surprised that his clothes were perfect. Why wouldn't they be? This is the biggest opportunities of their lives! Of course, Laura may just be bitter because she has 5 kids, is pregnant and had to design and sew a 12 piece collection.
I have to go to work now. Cheers!

I threw my yogurt lid in the trash today out of spite. Just donate a portion of my proceeds without making me participate in "hip" charities.
Beckie
I don't know why they want you to send back the lid anyway. I think it's gross to send a bunch of used yogurt lids anyway.
