Blog of a Preacher Man

Today when I got home from work this guy was leaving my apartment building. He asked where I was preaching tonight. I asked him to repeat himself because I didn't know what he was talking about. He said it looked like I was going to preach tonight. I was wearing a suit. I told him that I just got home from court. He probably thinks I'm a felon. Ha! But really, do only reverends wear suits? I think not, sir.

I worked in Sylvania today. It is getting MUCH better. It is great now that Nicole is there and things are more under control. Tomorrow I think I'll go to Maumee. Maumee is far though.... Nicole says that is the "funnest" court. Sweet.

Not much else is going on. I would have missed Top Chef if Beckie didn't remind me. Tonight is the second to last episode!

I haven't watched much other TV. I watched "Shopgirl" the other night, which was pretty boring and uninteresting. It was ok, but I wouldn't watch it again. Jason Schwartzman (or whatever his name is) was good. I liked him better in "I *heart* Huckabee's" though. I should watch that again.

Right now I'm finishing "Specimen Days" by Michael Cunningham. It's so weird. Good, but weird. Very different from all his other books. This one won't be a movies, I'm sure. If they make it into one I'd be shocked. At least I'm keeping up on my summer reading. I want to read Nick Hornby's latest, and Augusten Burrough's latest two. I'd also like to read "Wonder Boys" by Michael Chabon and maybe some others. I'm not sure. I wish Isaac Adamson would write more books. I bet Jane Green has some new ones too.

Oh, and for those who read this, I'm having a party at my place on June 10. Actually, I'm having it here, and then we're going to the bar down the road from my apartment called RHouse. It will be amazing so don't forget to attend. It's also the day of my Bar Mizvah, or the day I become a man. Mitzvahs rule!
