So I got a new job. It's official. I'm now working at a private firm in Toledo about 2 miles from my house. I'll probably work there part time this summer. I'm still going to work at the public defender's office too. So I will work about 40 hours between the two jobs.
My first assignment was to research a conflicts of laws issue for one of the partners. I turned in a memorandum today and he thought it was amazing. He said that he was totally impressed by it, and I found the exact solution, on point, to the problem. It was really great to hear that. I got a new assignment for a family law issue. The firm is mostly medical malpractice and tort liability but it's kind of a general practice law firm too. They do some family law work, some real estate, some trusts and estate and probate work. I'm excited because it will be a wide variety of things to do. I'm also going to work on various levels. I'm going to be working on an appeal soon too.
Not much else is new. School is still tough. I MUST study this weekend. I need to do outlines and actually learn this stuff. I'm getting worried. Exams will be here in the blink of an eye. Perish the thought.
