On Friday I went to Ann Arbor and met Jay. We ate at the Jerusalem Garden which was magnificent. I really like Middle Eastern food and this was really good, and pretty inexpensive. I love it. Then Jay and I went to Beaners and Judged and Blogged and stuff. I got my Organic, Fair-Trade Coffee. I also may have been "toothed" by someone at Beaners. I turned on my bluetooth and I got files sent to me from another computer. I think they may be viruses, but I have a mac so I'm immune. Actually, Jay says that Unix can get viruses too but I don't believe it. He was just trying to burst my bubble. I did learn that I can sync my calendar and address book with my phone over bluetooth. It's so much fun. I love it!
On Saturday Beckie came down and went to "law school prom" with me, a.k.a. The Barrister's Ball. By not watching the clock, and some wardrobe malfunctions, we were a little late, but it wasn't too bad. The drinks were free but we had to wait in line so long we barely drank. It was pretty fun, but nothing special. There were a lot of pretty dresses and ugly dresses. I really liked the Colleague's dress, and Amanda's dress. Beckie's dress was cool and she looked great with her rheinstone jewlery, however she lost weight on top and the dress was way big on her. It all worked out though. There was one dress with a bustle which scared me. Also a hooker dress.
I wore this black velvet coat to the ball, and everyone told me I got the style award. (ll.l Shocker :) ) Anyway, it was fuzzy and nice and everyone kept rubbing me, it was sweet.
After the ball, everyone went to this bar called Divas. It's a nice bar but way too crowded. People couldn't get drinks or talk or sit or anything. Beckie and I got a table and we just hung out for a while drinking martinis and then we went home. I think I drove the wrong way down a one way street by a cop, but I didn't get pulled over so maybe he didn't care. I kind of felt like dancing, but I didn't get to.
This friday is Jeff's birthday soiree at the Necto. I am planning on attending. I will be able to get my groove on then. Lately, Steve has been teasing me about the way I dance. I never realized how I dance. I'm fine with it, but I just don't remember doing what he says I do. I believe him too, and it's been confirmed by others. I just need to get some new moves. You should just be glad that I don't dance in public like I dance in my living room. It's crazy. I think Jenn has probably been the only one to see that.
I just finished "Dress Your Family In Corduroy and Denim" by David Sedaris that I got from Jay for my birthday. It was great. The end was a little less funny, but the beginning was great. Now I'm reading "Dry" by Augusten Burroughs. It's pretty good so far. A little depressing. Lately, I've had this great fear of being an alcoholic. At least I don't drink much, I just have to be careful.
Everyone knows that "The Look" is the best song by Roxette, but still none of them make any sense.
