The Blog, The Witch and The Wardobe

Two down, two to go. So since my professor has been sick, the tests were supposedly easier. I had my Estate & Gift Tax final today and it was hard as hell. I found it very difficult to do because it was all hypos, but we hadn't done any examples all year. Luckily we could use the Code as much as we wanted so I figured quite a few things out as I went. I don't know how well I did because I don't know how well anyone else did. But he said he would curve it to a "high B" so that probably means I got at least a B. I can handle that.

BUT, I now have Federal Income Tax on Monday, and I'm scurred that it will be just as hard or harder. It's supposed to be a hard class anyway. I just hope that it's not an awful test. So, I now have to study my butt off these next three days for that exam. I would really like an A in Fed Tax because it's 4 credits.

That only leaves family law. It's a 3.5 hour essay, open book, open note, open outline. That just means it's harder. I don't know what that exam will be like at all. At least I can use my outline. I like to type the Rule directly from my outline into my essay. I'm just like that. Actually, that's how I did as well in my classes as I did. I wrote the rule word for word from my outine or my memory.

My sympathies go out to the Entertainment Law class who, without being told ahead of time, had to cite cases AND PAGE NUMBERS on their final. Some people didn't bring their book because who asks for page numbers. That's just ridiculous. It's not even like they were doing proper citations. They were citing their casebook. Note to self: do not take that class or professor. Ever.

On top of finals, I'm getting sick. Not sick, sick. But I'm feeling slightly phlegmy in the respiratory area. And just he other day I was thinking about how I never get sick. Ha! Jesus, you are such a card. I am fighting it though. With all my being. And the power of Jesus.

I still haven't seen Harry Potter 4. I'm whining now. Enjoy. "Brokeback Mountain" came out this weekend. I want to see that too. I'm not motivated to see movies where I know what happens from reading the book/short story/magazine article/back of cereal box as it may be. Oh, and "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardobe" came out. Read that too. I heard that "Walk the Line" is good too. But that's according to my sister and her fianceee. I don't really trust them too much though since they actually like country music. I haven't read any Johnny Cash autobiography so maybe that would be at least something novel. I have read "High Fidelity" and seent he movie I love this quote:

'Hey, I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but I'm certainly not the dumbest. I mean, I've read books like "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" and "Love in the Time of Cholera", and I think I've understood them. They're about girls, right? Just kidding. But I have to say my all-time favorite book is Johnny Cash's autobiography "Cash" by Johnny Cash.'

Oh, and it snowed last night. A nice six inches of snow. Ahh.... I had an exam at 8:30am so getting here was fun. I can't wait until people learn that, yes snow fell, but it's not THAT slippery. I mean you don't have to drive 10mph. Seriously.

My feet are cold. I'm in library and the heating is not uniform. I'm also sick. And I have to pee. And I'm eating snow. That I peed on. Just kidding. I just said I had to pee, so that probably means I didn't just pee on the snow. Pee.

Ok. Must study more. Fed Tax is Life. I am a Capital Asset. Apply a lower tax rate schedule to me. Deduct me. Exclude me. I am Gross Income. Urgle....
