Blog of Consent

Next time I'm sad/depressed/angry/stressed will someone please say to me "go exercise, F*cker". Exercise always makes me feel better but somehow I forget that everytime.

So, I'm inspired by many things right now.

* Mike going to Hawaii and before he actually had a plane ticket he had a blog. This says to me if you start a blog, good things come...sometimes.

* Jeffrey Beyer's Renaissance has started. I don't actually know what this means, but I'd like to have my own personal renaissance as well. Ok, maybe a full rebirth isn't necessary. I'd settle with my own Baroque, Enlightenment, Reformation, or Neo-Classic periods.

* It's only 12 weeks to Christmas. This isn't very soon (3 months) but it's not too far either. I'm really trying hard to lose weight over the next three months. I would really like to lose 25 lbs, but I think that's a lot. I'm really turning these 12 weeks before Christmas into a lot of hard work.

Now on to Mark Foley. I think it's horrible that these boys who probably thought this was an opportunity of a lifetime and would have been so excited to work for the House of Representtives had to deal with this harassment and had to be pulled into this scandal. This isn't that Mark Foley slept with a hooker. That would be funny. Foley seriously hurt these kids on several levels. It also makes me mad that the first thing Foley did was that he had his lawyer tell everyone that 1) he was molested as a teenager and 2) he's gay. So? Because you were molested and you're gay you had a good reason to do this? Would it have been worse if you were straight and hit on 16 year old boys? It seems like he's blaming his actions on his homosexuality and homosexuality in general. It also makes me mad that the leadership did very little with this. Maybe they didn't know before. It sounds to me like there was something weird going on. It has to take something serious to tattle on a Representative. I don't know if Hastert should resign or not. I think calls for his resignation were a little premature. At the same time I think he should resign simply because he's ugly, fat and evil. I'd be happy if he resigned, but I'm sure he won't. The only good thing that can come out of this scandal is that hopefully the democrats can take back the house and senate.

Oh, and I heard on 89X today a cover of "Age of Consent" by New Order that was performed by Neverending White Lights. It was great! I really want to hear it again.
