Vaughn Might Die

'Alias' Fans Fight for Vartan

Fans of hit TV series Alias have launched a campaign to save Michael Vartan's character, even though producers have failed to confirm they're killing him off. Vartan, who plays his former girlfriend Jennifer Garner's on-screen lover Michael Vaughn on the show, reportedly shot his final scenes last week, according to the New York Post. Insiders claim Vaughn will be killed off in the upcoming series, which will also see pregnant Garner coping with impending motherhood both in real life and on the crime drama. The news has prompted some fans to launch www.mvcampaign.com, which has been set up to stop any potential Vartan departure. In a posting on the fansite, one devotee states, "Many of us feel that if this were to occur, it would be showing the show, the viewers, and Mr. Vartan a huge lack of both respect and loyalty. We have decided to take action and do something to express our feelings."

At the end of last season, I guess it's possible. I wonder if this has something to do with J-Gar/Vartan and Bennifer II: Back in the Habit. Alias is sneaky anyway, so it's quite possible that he will still be on, or will come back as a clone. Or will come back as Sydney's Rimbaldi baby that will probably be written into the script or something.

Addendum: I just found out that the Season Premiere of Alias is on my birthday! Happy Birthday to me! Actually, it's not that great because I will probably be out that day. I'll have to record it or something.

Addendum 2: Here is the summary for the fifth season: "In the season premiere episode, after learning that the man she has known as Michael Vaughn is under investigation and suspected of being a double agent, Sydney begins to question whether their business and personal relationship over the years had all been a lie. When she discovers that she's pregnant with Vaughn's baby, she becomes determined to uncover the truth about him. Meanwhile, because of Jack's past betrayal by Irina, he begins to worry that his daughter may suffer the same fate that he did. This season, new agents will be introduced and a nefarious organization will come to light in Sydney's life as she fights to protect her unborn child -- all the while traveling incognito, outsmarting the bad guys and keeping the world safe."

Wow, spoiler alert! Not that I didn't know about some of the stuff, but still . . . Probably somewhat cagey not to have the alert.

I'm so excited and can't wait for Alias to start. But if JG is leaving the show after this season (which I heard she is) then they don't need to kill off MV. I love MV, he's so hot...ever since 'Never Been Kissed' - I'd have his baby...in case you wanted to know :)

Does this remind anyone of X-Files, or is this just me?
