I just finished Half-Blood Prince for the second time. I see now how everything fits together. It was very subtle, but all the information was there.
I think there is a general concensus of who R.A.B. is. I assumed that must mean that he's still alive. However, in the note it says that "I'm probably dead by the time you read this." so it's possible that RAB destroyed all the other horcruxes before he died. Obviously, he didn't get the ring, but maybe he couldn't find it. He also didn't find the journal (probably because Lucius had it) and he didn't kill Nagini. But RAB may have destroyed Hufflepuff's cup and a relic of Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. If all that's left is to kill Nagini and Voldemort, Harry won't have too much of a problem. It seems that he'll have a very hard time finding the lost relic of Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. He could never have gotten the locket without Dumbledore, and so it seems almost impossible for him to get the last relic, hopefully it's already destroyed.
I was thinking that the Sorting Hat might be a horcrux, since it was animated. I thought that maybe the Sorting Hat was the lost relic of Gryffindor, which is why it produced the Gryffindor sword. But then I thought about it, and the Sorting Hat may not have been owned by Gryffindor. And the Sorting Hat is not a horcrux, because Dumbledore said he was sorted into Slytherin as the hat touched his head. So, that means that it was around before Voldemort even knew what a horcrux was. But the Sorting Hat could still be a horcrux of someone else. Probably not Gryffindor, since he probably wouldn't kill someone to make a Sorting Hat. It's probably just some other type of enchantment.
At the end, it's clear to me now, that Dumbledore stalled Malfoy so that Snape could arrive. He didn't want Malfoy to kill him, because Dumbledore wanted to protect Malfoy. He was offering protection to him, so that he could be saved. Then when Snape arrived Dumbledore knew that he had to die and he asked Snape to do it instead of Malfoy, and so he pleaded with Snape to do it. And he did. Dumbledore knew all along about the plan for Malfoy to kill him (because Snape knew), so he told Snape to make the Unbreakable Vow to keep up the deception. I think it's clear that Snape is still good because of his actions, and he probably made the same promise as Harry did, that he would follow Dumbledore's orders, no matter what.
During the flight, Snape got mad that Harry called him a coward, and he got mad because he just did the most difficult thing in his life. Snape saved Harry also, by telling him that Harry was supposed to be killed by Voldemort himself. Then Snape and Malfoy ran out the gate and disapparated. I think that Snape knows that Malfoy can't go back to the Death-Eaters or he'll be killed, because he failed. So I think that Snape will try to hide Draco and Narcissa, that's why he made sure that Draco followed him so that he could protect him. You could tell that Draco was really upset about killing Dumbledore. The fact that he was crying in the bathroom shows how emotional he is. I think he will turn to the good side by the end. Also, it shows how Draco really cares about people, because he was angry and upset that Greyback came to the school to infect the children. I think that Dumbledore knew that Draco could be redeemed and the only way was that he was not killed by Draco, so the only other option is Snape.
I think it was brilliant how Snape became the DADA teacher, and now he's gone too, so the spot is vacant once more. That was completely unexpected, and it can probably be assumed that he will not return to the school again.
Blood seems to be a very strong theme in the books, and I don't know where she's going with it. There are purebloods, mudbloods, half-bloods. Voldemort drank unicorn's blood to survive in book one. Voldemort was ressurected with Harry's blood in book four. Voldemort required a blood payment to get through the gate in book six.
Book Six is by far my favorite book now. I thought that it had the best story and was the most emotional out of them. I give JKR credit for killing Dumbledore. I thought it would probably happen, but I didn't think in this book. I'm glad that she's not afraid to tell the story. Even though I'm sure it was hard to do, sometimes you have to sacrifice a character for the story. A story should not be easy, just like real life. Very good books. Very good.

Crap! I'm still about 200ish pages from finishing Order of the Phoenix. I am so behind the times.
I'm pretty much in agreement with everything you've said here, as we've discussed. I'm so excited for Book 7, which will probably come out when I'm old.
Movie 4 in 11/05!
Beckie
Book 6 is my favorite too.
