Bring Out Your Dead

Demon Geese Chasing Me
Demon Geese Chasing Me,

Yesterday, I was pensive so I decided to drive around. I found myself heading west out of Toledo towards the farmland where my dad grew up. I entered Metamora, Ohio and I called my dad to find out where my grandparents were buried. I knew it was close but didn't want to wander the farmlands of northern Ohio. The cemetary was just south of Metamora on Rte. 120. I entered the cemetary, which was rather small and quickly found the graves of my grandparents. I was still talking to my parents on my mobile and I walked over to the graves. Once I got there, there was a sudden downpour so I ran back to the car. In the 50 ft it took me to run, I was pretty wet, almost soaked. When I got back to the car, the rain stopped and the sun started to come out.

I got out of the car and started wandering around the cemetary, still talking to my parents. I was looking at the graves and I noticed three Canadian Geese in the cemetary. I ignored them and tried to find my great-grandparents named Riesz. Suddenly the geese were only two feet away from me. They made no sound, neither honking nor hissing, but stopped and started preening themselves. I walked away. They raised their heads and followed me. I increased my gait. They increased theirs. Still close behind I decided to run for it. The geese started running too. I bolted to the car and shut the door. The geese waited outside my door looking at me. Soon, they started walking around the car and pecked at my tires. I didn't think geese had the ability to pop tires, but who knows what demon geese can do. I started the car and moved to another part of the cemetary. I got out and looked at the graves again. I didn't see the geese until they were on me. I started walking around the cemetary and wherever I went they followed me. When I stopped, they just preened themselves again. I asked them what they wanted, but they didn't answer. Nothing I did disuaded them from following me. I even chased them, but they just moved out of the way, but stayed close. I started walking back to my car, completely creeped out. They followed and I started running towards my car. The geese took to the air and flew after me. I knew they were faster, so I just stopped. They landed, looked at me, and preened themselves again. I walked very slowly and got into my car and left.

I drove around for a little bit and after a while I went back to the cemetary. There was no geese. No rain. Only the quiet of the graves.

Maybe the the geese were your grand parents reincarnated and they just wanted to spend some time with you...

Or maybe the geese got a message from the skunks of wixem about you and wanted to pester you for old time sake.
