I guess I have many things to be thankful for this year. I find it odd to go around the table and say what you're thankful for on thanksgiving. I think it's like after wishing on a star, telling everyone your wish, and then it won't come true. I remember in the Bible a story or instruction that you shouldn't pray in public and prostrate yourself in the street so everyone knows how devoted you are. Instead, it is better to pray at home where no one can see. I guess I feel that giving thanks is like a prayer and should only be in your heart, not a boastful brag.
Despite that feeling, I think I should electronically give thanks, not to demonstrate my overwhemling thanks, but just to get it out of my head.
Personally, I'm thankful that I'm free of my oppressive job, I'm back in school, which is going well. I'm also thankful for all my friends, because they mean more to me than probably anything else in this world.
I am also very thankful that this thanksgiving no one is in the hospital, everyone is healthy. I'm also thankful that the world is getting better and hopefully the world will become a safer and happier place for all.
Happy Thanksgiving!
