Hateful Tuesday

So, I came to work today. No one has said anything to me about calling in sick. One of my co-workers did ask me (in french) where I was and I told her, because I trust her. She said that people on the other side of the wall from me were talking about how rude it was for me to call in sick and get a 4 day weekend. I suppose it was suspicious but yet none of their business! My friend here said that she was really pissed off and told them off. I'm thinking of saying something to them, but I don't want to make it an issue, especially because it's not right now. I just don't understand why people have loyalty towards a company that won't give them raises and treats them like crap.
