I was thinking the other day just about how strange TNOF is, how everyone met, the interactions, the connections. It almost should be a movie or an hour-long TV show. We certainly have had out dramatic moments. Of course, we're never lacking comedy. If someone asked me 6 years ago if we would be friends I would have said no way. I mean I loved Sarah and Jessica from the moment I met them. I was completely terrified of Jackie and Beckie. I don't remember what I thought of others. I probably thought they were weird. For me it all started with the GM Card, which is how Jessica and I became friends and then became friends with Sarah and Jackie, who became non-romantic life partners. Jessica went to College with Beckie. Beckie was friends with Mike and Dan and John and Tess, who went to high school with Jessica. Austin and Coronado were in the same fraternity as Mike. Jessica introduced everyone to her friend Julie who married John. My most significant contribution was Jenn who has dated Austin, went to Vegas with Beckie and Jackie and went to Hawai'i with Mike. It's just an odd group and such random connections. In some ways it really plays out like an hour long series, but in reality is too boring for TV, but we've had our moments. We've even had TNOF field trips. We have a gigantic supporting cast of interesting individuals that come and go. We've lost some members. We've gained many more. We even have the weirdest name ever.
I'm just glad that I'm friends with all of you. Happy New Year!

This post made me smile. I could have used it a few months ago when I was explaining the intricacies of TNOF to Kristen.
I'm so glad that I met you, Ryan!
I often think of the random-ness in the way we all met and how interesting it is that we are all friends and how glad I am that we have remained friends. We are all quirky in our own ways but it seems to work. Happy New Year!
Feliz ano nuevo! Ich bin ein Berliner. Don't be afraid of me, Ryan. I'm a scared kitten inside.
Beckie
P.S. I certainly never though when I met you that you would become one of my closest friends in the world. We live in a funny place.
I still remember going all the way down the hall at GM card in Farmington to train you and Jessica. You seemed like pretty great people. Now I know :) Happy New Year!
