The Blog Game

My father is weird. Maybe it's because we don't talk much, but I don't really write about him.

Anyway, I get an email from him to my entire family asking what everyone bought my mom for Christmas. He also said that he has changed his email address. This is his third email address in a year. I've had mine for 10. Anyway, it was rx[lastname]@yahoo.com (note, his first initial is R, but he has no middle name so he used X. Weird, I know). Then it was richard[lastname]@yahoo.com. Now it's richard.[lastname]@yahoo.com. All of this is slightly annoying but not too bad.

Also, he's decided that he is changing his name from Dick to Rick. Which is fine, but he's 63, it's a little late in my opinion. But it doesn't affect me since I call him Dad or Richard. Now he's started writing his name "Rik", which is SO gay. I HATE alternate spellings of normal names. There are certain names that I don't care about, but when you leave out a letter or change a letter so it's spelled different but phoetically the same it bugs me. It shouldn't, it's not my name. It's just inconsitent when you write their name. Like if I'm trying to write a name and the person is like not a K it's a Q. Anyway, so he just sent me a letter that says "Raddy Rik". He's so bizarre.

I think I'm going to change my name to Rhyonne. Maybe that will be my drag queen name. Rhyonne Sparklington. Ok, I'll work on it.

In other fast breaking news, the Colleague got a notice today that the book she got from reserve in the library was not returned and she owes the library $135 for a replacement. The book probably costs $15 online AND she returned it. What's funny is that I told her yesterday that I got an email last year and they charged me $135 for it, or tried to. I went to the shelf and showed them it was there and it was returned.
