The other day I was watching TV with my mom. I stopped on VH1 for some list thing. It showed Queen. My mom said "wow, they have a really good sound" and then they played a bunch of Queen songs. Then the program continued to explain how Freddie Mercury announced he had AIDS and then died two days later. My mom was like, "aww, that's so sad, they harmonized so well together."
I take this to mean that my mom has no idea who Queen is/was or Freddie Mercury. This is how I grew up.
So when I say I don't know some musician/band/artist, know that I'm coming from a place of complete ignorance.
