Highway to the Danger Blog

I almost died tonight. I was driving north on I-75 to Detroit to meet Mike at Backstreet. I was in the center lane, passing the I-75/US-24 Telegraph interchange when suddenly an SUV blindsided me and sent me spinning in the middle of 75 so I landed on the shoulder facing the opposite direction, feet from a guardrail, as if I parallel parked there. I emerged unscathed, though my car is messed up. However, the SUV that hit me, was found several hundred feet away from me, and had rolled. I'm scared that someone may have died.

I don't understand life, but I'm glad to be alive. I don't think I'll be driving for a while. I'm pretty shaken up. Surviving a collision going 70 mph is not a coincidence, it's a miracle.
