Blogging is Creepy

Easter was not exciting. Oh well. At least I drove 4 hours total and used a tank of gas. Grr. I'm angry that gas prices are like $4. I hate gas.

Last night I watched "So Notorious" because I was at my parents. It was great. Very funny. It my new favorite show! That and top chef. Anyway afterwards I was watching the GLAAD awards on VH1 tonight. It had Tina Fey and Amy Poehler doing a fake SNL Weekend Update skit. At one point they announced a "door prize" where the winner would get a walk on role as a florist who gets to go down on a pregnant lesbian in a pool. And the name they called was...James Anderson. They said "well, congratulations James, we're sure you'll enjoy it". I about died from laughter. I'm sure he will enjoy it ;)

Exams are coming. The goose is getting fat. Please put a penny in the old man's hat. If you have no penny, a ha'penny will do. If you have no ha'penny then God bless you.

So on Friday, Beckie invited me up to go out with her and Jenn and Susan. I drove up and we went to the Majestic, which I forgot I had been there before. Well, Susan kept seeing people that she knew from high school and it turned out there was some Grosse Pointe South party next door. I didn't know that Susan went to GPS and I was like "why is my life filled with people from GPS?" Case in point: several TNOFers, old and new, plus my good friend Jeff, and my roommate from my freshman year in college. Well it turned out that Susan actually knew him! And boy did he sound as scary as ever. It's a small small small small mad mad mad mad world.

Well, after the Majestic we went to Oslo. It was really fun. It's a sushi restaurant upstairs and a club downstairs. The club was really cool but had a non-well-stocked bar. But they did have Sapporo and Saki (barf). Anyway, the club was really cool and the girls talked to a bunch of guys. I hungout and enjoyed the scene. As Beckie said, it was very "sceney". It was full of hipsters in faux-vintage tees, with buddy holly glasses. I swear I saw one with a copy of Dostoyevsky in his back pocket. Ok, that might not be true. But I swear that you can tell how much inner turmoil these kids have by the size of the russian literature in their back pocket. Anyway, we hung out there for several hours. Then Beckie saw Nicole, who I haven't seen in 1.5 years, who I love. Well, I didn't even recognize her, but it was nice talking to her. There were some shenanigans. At one point I got the whole bar to sing "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard". Ok, not the whole bar but 3 people and it was this weird anthem for the night.

Oy, the shenanigans.

After the bar we went to McDonalds. i was good and did not eat. Well, we were sitting in the car waiting and this truck in front of us drove around this car in the drive through. We did the same thing and it turned out there was a guy who while waiting for his food passed out in his car. Not a good thing at all. Well, after we got our food, and told the drive through guy, the sleeping guy woke up and drove forward to get his food. They were serving breakfast at that point and I speculated the guy would be pissed because he could not longer get his chicken mcnuggets. We left to avoid him on the roadway.

Now I'm back at school. Last week of classes. Can you believe it? I think I need to have an after exams soiree. Something fun. But I don't know what. Then it's a summer full of work. Yippy.
