Thumbs Down: One of my pet-peeves lately is the use of the phrase "Form and Function". I understand that it's desirable, but it seems like it's this new standard that we should all strive for: form AND function. All it means is it's pretty and works good too. I just hate how everything now is a brilliant combination of form and function. Listen for it, it's said every 3 minutes.
Thumbs Up: Uri from the Smirnoff commercials. He's just very likable. But not lickable.
This week is National Clown Week. Scary. And according to Jay, Friday is National Mustard Day. I wonder, can any day be declared National ______ Day? Does it require an act of Congress or can a person just say, hey today is...? I might have to declare a day. I'll let you know.
Tonight I met Jay in Ann Arbor and we went to dinner. We went to the Red Robin. Our waiter was so bad, that we got our waters after our food arrived. He was not very attentive. It was very noisy also from all the singing and children. I think I'm going to start a restaurant called "Shush" where people have to talked in hushed voices and if they don't they are forced to leave. Afterwards, we went to Panera for beverages. I got coffee. Black. Jay got chai. I'm not a fan of Chai. One, I stay away from milk. I don't really like it. Two, I don't like to drink hot "pumpkin pie" beverages.
I then met up with Jeff B. and his friends. There were three Murphy boys there. Good Irish Catholic boys. Then we went to Aut for Karaoke. It was very entertaining. Karaoke is very different at Aut than at Dirty D's. Most of the singers did really well. Jeff sang very well, "Total Eclipse of the Heart", "Love is a Battlefield" and "Hanging by a Moment". Also, Robert (the DQ) was there and he and Norm sang an amazing version of Summertime from Porgy and Bess. It gave me goosebumps. Jeff was obsessed with this guy named Jason Z. Actually, not so much him, but the Z. Jeff wants a Z in his name. There was also a guy named Jacob who was really good and very nice.
I then talked to Jenn on the way home. We made plans for Friday night.

Monday, September 19 is "Talk Like A Pirate" Day. That's what I was told by a guy I work with. - Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum...
My old roomatefrom is dating a boy named Z. That's it, just Z. It's probably short for Zladko or something Serbian (his family made their way over here before he was born) but I like to think his name is really Z. Or Zee. I suggest you refer to Jason as Zack from now on.
