Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I just finished "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince". I was wrong about who the prince was, but I suspected it might be this person. My initial opinion was this was the best book yet. And yet the worst.

I completely agree on all counts, except that I didn't even think that person would be the Half-Blood Prince. As for the horrible part, I think it was still all planned and intended by Dumbledore.

I didn't really know who the prince was but I thought when I started the book that I didn't really know about one person's lineage at all and that might be the key. I think it was planned too, but...maybe not all of it. I don't know. I'm going to read it again.

Ok, I'm ~1/2way through it(just after Sluggy's Christmas party). Things are making more sense now. I think I know who the HBP is but it seems too obvious from the clues, or it was meant for childrens' limited mental capabilities. Either that, or I am a moron and missed something else extremely important and clue-like. I still feel like I should re-read OOTHP and GOF.
