HP Sucks -or- Thank You India

So HP was supposed to have someone from Fed Ex come out and pick up my laptop. I had to be here from 1-5 waiting for someone. That person never came. So I called HP and they said to go to FedEx and call them from there. So I go to FedEx Kinko's and called. HP gave me an account number and said that FedEx would know what to do. But FedEx still needed an address. So I call back and get disconnected. I call again and the guy said that he can't give me an address. He says I have to call another number. So I call another number and he starts asking me what's wrong with my computer. I say I just need an address. He transferred me then to Tech Support (probably the same place I orginally called) and the guy put me on hold for 10 minutes to get me the address. All-in-all I was at FEKs for about 45 Minutes. It was so frustrating. But the lady at FEK was so nice. I love her.

Everyone at HP is Indian. It's frustrating because they don't speak english very well, and they don't know how to pronounce my name. It's like being in France and everyone calling me "Rien" which means "nothing" in French. It's better than my friend Beth who went to Quebec and everyone called here "Bete" which means "beast" or "ugly". Her host brother kept saying "Bete est laide, Bete est laid," meaning Beth is ugly. Her host family was weird. They made her use the servant stairs, but the dog could use the normal stairs. Quebec is weird. But they have bars in the university, poutine, McHomard (McLobster) sandwiches, good beer, and general frenchiness....

So the laptop has been sent. I just now have to wait for its return. I hope that it comes soon. It won't get there until monday though, so I probably won't get it back next week.

Did you know paper is the new laptop? It's like totally retro-oldschool in Spring 2005.

I (finally) finished Hokkaido Popsicle. It was awesome. I thought it started slow, but then got really good at the end. Billy Chaka is my hero. Now on to "Dreaming Pachinko". I hope it's good.

"My looks pushed too far, I'll get wrecked in some bar/I've lost it, my foot's on a nail/ The dark winter snows bright, please stay here tonight/I'll cry my face straight through my pillow/ Some things last forever, why can't this last forever/ Nothing lasts forever, I hope this lasts forever/ More sex, more goodbye's/ I love you and I won't let myself let you go/ Some things last forever, why can't this last forever/ Nothing lasts forever, I hope this lasts forever" ~ The Stills, "Yesterday Never Tomorrow"

As you know I had similarly wonderful experiences with HP: The India addition. I've decided to send them hate mail signed "University of Toledo Law School". And no bastards, for the last time, NOT Toledo, Spain.

I've been having trouble with my HP printer. I send emails and then I get emails back that are pretty much correct but very oddly worded. And the emails are signed with typical American names like Charlie or Stacy.

Paper is the new digital for Spring 2005, I totally agree. I've been looking for a new sketchbook/journal, but I'm very specific about the size, and have not yet found one. Well, I did find one that was the right size, but it had lined paper. Ew.
