I wish I could concede that this president is what america wants, and though I may not agree, I respect my fellow citizens. The problem is that I can't.
In the next four years, the war in Iraq could expand. There could be a draft. That is exactly what our country needs right now I'm sure.
Also, President Bush is likely to choose at least one, but up to four supreme court justices. What does this mean? Well, Roe versus Wade could be overturned. Brown v. Board of Education could be overturned. Ok that is unlikely, but it's possible to have segregation again. But the reality of banning abortions is very real. We could also have affirmative action eliminated, and many other important decisions. Gay marriage certainly won't be legalized. Why does anyone care?
I really don't know what to think. I think that the country is run by a bunch of crazy, puritanical, evangelical christians who don't act very christian to me.
I need to process a little more, but I'll will be praying for America. Godspeed.
