Bush to seek gay-marriage ban in new term

Carl Rove says that Bush will definitely push for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage in the next four years. Originally Bush called for a constitutional amendment to define marriage as between a man and a woman. Just a few weeks ago Bush says that he didn't agree with the republican party platform of a contstitutional amendement and thought it should be left up to the states. Now he is pushing for a constitutional amendment again. Who's the flip-flopper?

The flip-flopping is even worse, I am afraid. Mr. Rove, in the very same appearance on Meet the Press, said that the administration believes that the states should have the right to decided. Not only did Rove contradict Bush, but Rove contradicted Rove! Outrageous. The second term hasn't even begun and I already feel like puking/dying/poking myself in the eye with a pencil.

Just a correction, Rove's statements were actually made to Fox news at one point, and Meet the Press at another. Not both to Meet the Press as I had originally implied. Not a big deal, just wanted to make sure I was accurate.

Argh! I can't believe the hypocricy and the hatred! Ok, I can believe it, but it's still very angersome. It just makes me mad that Bush would take a stand on an issue, just to get votes from the moderates or undecideds and then return to his same discriminatory platform! Argh X 2!
