I Hate Ann Coulter!

I've never read such uninformed trash as the stuff that Ann Coulter writes as in "Treason".

AC claims that librals are not patriotic and hate America because they side with the enemies and hate the pledge of allegiance and the flag. Ok, does anyone hate the flag? It's FABRIC! No one hates the flag. Some may hate the flag for what it represents but no one hates fabric. Some people burn the flag. They may do this because they hate the colors red, white and blue arranged in a stripe and stars pattern. (unlikely) Some may feel that their country has let them down an what the flag represents now they don't like. Some may hate the US and want all Americans to die. Some may just want to make a desparate statement to get a point across they find extremely important.

Most liberals are against flag burning, but they don't feel it should be outlawed. It's a right that people should have to express their opinion. AC says that liberals hate America because they don't condemn this. I disagree. Liberals love it more, because they except every person, every race, every religion, every opinion good or bad and that is what makes America great. America was not founded on the supression of rights, but on liberty. Liberty is for all, not just you. If we restricted freedom of speech, expression or press, then what do we supress, all of it? Just my speech? Just yours? Does AC think that she is so privileged that her rhetoric is more valuable than someone else's rhetoric? She would have a fit if she was told she couldn't publish her trash. She's invoke the First Amendment and claim freedom of speech and press! She'd say that she has a right to publish what she wants, and she does. What if every federal building was required to put a star and crecent on the building. Again, Ann would claim violation of the establishment clause, freedom of religion! And she would be right. So why is it that AC thinks she's so great that only HER RIGHTS should be protected. It's not the Ann Coulter Constitution, but the Constitution of the United States of America. That means that everyone in the US has their rights protected under the constitution. Just like it would be wrong to put a star and crescent or star of david on every federal building, it is wrong to put the 10 commandments in a courthouse. What if "Under Allah" was in the Pledge of Allegiance? That would be wrong for the same reasons "Under God" should not be in the PoA.

The fact that AC doesn't realize is that liberals unlike conservatives, don't hate America, they love all American's equally. Conservatives only love some Americans and want to deprive others of the same rights. It's similar to having 10 Children and letting 9 children do whatever they want, and then forcing the other child to behave differently. That would be wrong to no treat all your children equally, why can't we extrapolate it to the real world? Do you really think you're that much better than everyone else?
