Just a little update....

I can't believe it's been so long since I've updated.... I have just a few moments between classes right now so I'll write something quick.

Law school is going well. It is very very difficult, but I'm slowly finding not as challenging as it could be. I feel bad for the other students that don't have the background that I do and spend the day discussing policy and their "feelings" about the case but it's all irrelevant. I'm just keeping my eye on the goal: final exams. I'm just focusing on the rules of law and not any of the fluff around it that the law professors seem to love. They claim that they are getting us to "think like a lawyer" but I can't help feeling that this is a very difficult approach to that goal. And furthermore the final exam doesn't really teach how well one thinks like a lawyer, per se, it just asks you to apply black letter law to fact patterns, no policy, no fact patterns....

Not much else is going on with me. I've been studying a lot so I haven't really done anything exciting or interesting. I've seen a few movies. Garden State was awesome. Hero was a little slow but over all very good (but it seemed like communist propaganda to me in a way). I think I've seen something else but I can't remember....

This weekend will be very busy. I've been invited to do 12 different things but I won't be able to do most. I'm going to Royal Oak on Monday and that should be fun. My parents and aunt, uncle and cousins are supposedly coming down to go to the Toledo Zoo. I might be able to join them, but I'll have to see how much work I have done by then.

I guess that's all from UT. Nothing too exciting. Summer seems to be fading. It's sad but I love the fall so I can't wait for it to get here. I need to get outside a little more and enjoy the fall air. I also have to start thinking about halloween costumes, which seems a long ways away, but it's not.
