I am grateful for 4 day work weeks. They make the week...shorter.
Yesterday was interesting. I told my two French speaking co-workers (in French, of course) that I'm going to law school and quitting. Then one of them told me that she is right now applying for another job and may be quitting in a couple of weeks. The other co-worker is upset because I'm quitting right before he goes on vacation. If two of us are gone already and he's on vacation, that means that there will be no French support for three weeks. He's very upset by this. I feel guilty because I knew that there would be no French support and I did it on purpose to screw over management. I'm not too worried because I'm quitting anyway, but I feel bad if that messes up his vacation in some way.
In other news, I found out yesterday that I make about $7,000 less than one of my French co-workers. I never got a promotional raise when I got my new job almost two years ago. My boss still says she's "working on it" but I've seen nothing. I feel much less guilty now for screwing them over.
Also, I still haven't heard from Wayne State. I can't believe it's almost two months before classes start and I still haven't heard anything. They haven't even put me on a wait list. I'm so glad that I made the choice to go to Toledo. They seem to have their act together at least.
Tomorrow is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban! Yay!
